The two college students turn out to have something in common, however: abusive men. For Hailey, it’s her dad. For Amanda, it’s a stalkery ex-boyfriend. A great thriller with extreme suspense and a great ending. Katie Cassidy really knows how to act. worth a watch.

Slow, boring, and predictable. Nothing you haven’t seen before. Of course, it’s going to be compared to Single White Female, because it’s very reminiscent of that film. The only bright spot is Katie Cassidy.

For some reason katie cassidy turns me the eff on and Im straight as hell. I dont give this up to too many but she could get it. Ever since I saw her on Supernatural then Melrose I thought this bada55 chick was sexy as hell. Its her natural bada55 status plus her look. Reminds me of me. Anyway the movie was ok I wouldnt rate it at all if Katie hadn’t of been in it. But it gets 3 stars because she was. Good story kinda predictable but ends with a twist. The girl grl scenes could’ve been longer. Just saying. That chick turns me on like crazy. If you can do that to me. You’re the shznit.

Kill for Me was a surprisingly efficient direct to DVD thriller, with shades of Diabolique, Wild Things and Monster. The film has an old-fashioned vibe about it and took its time developing the story and its characters. At the same time it didn’t reveal too much, making the film very suspenseful, mysterious and sexy. The film didn’t have too much violence but when it did it was shocking enough to make you feel uneasy. With all of the lousy thrillers being released to theaters every year, Kill for Me is a breath of fresh air even though it might be too straightforward sometimes for more hardcore genre buffs.

Katie Cassidy was absolutely stunning in this film; she gives her very best performance of her career so far! Katie plays Amanda, a college student who is trying to move on after her roommate and friend vanishes without a trace. Amanda is also dealing with an abusive ex-boyfriend who is now stalking her; she decides to look for a new roommate to help pay the rent. She soon meets Hailey who also is trying to movie on from an abusive and tormented past, they instantly become roommates and form a bond that leads to a sinister turn of events. Hailey is played by newcomer Tracy Spiridakos, who also stars in the series Revolution. Tracy gives a captivating performance and I couldn’t keep my eyes off of her, she is a promising new talent to keep tabs on in the future. Donal Logue, who is from one of my favorite series that is now canceled, Grounded for Life, makes a surprising turn as Hailey’s dad and was quite good.

Director, Michael Greenspan definitely improved his game here than his last effort Wrecked, which was a very disappointing movie and was on my bottom list of 2011. His latest film Kill for Me was atmospheric, suspenseful and has a great twist ending that was satisfying for the most part. Sure the premise is nothing all that new, but the way he handle it though, made it his own effective thriller of wronged women getting revenge. The writing wasn’t fantastic but it’s an improvement from his last picture as it’s much more coherent with Christopher Dodd teaming up with him again since working on the film Wrecked. They definitely took a step in the right direction this time around.

Overall, Kill for Me is the first good thriller of 2013. It has two appealing leading ladies, brooding atmosphere, suspenseful story and a satisfying twist ending. Nothing too original here though, but still it’s a well executed film. Recommended!

This is not a good movie. There are quite a few things wrong with Kill for Me, one of the main ones being the very beginning. There is no real reason why the viewer should care for the main character right away because nothing is really revealed, other than obvious visual cues. Now, if the story was a bit more creative, I would have forgiven the beginning but the story is so simplistic that you don’t even need to guess what is going to happen. There isn’t a whole lot of character development either, which is a shame because the characters could have been a lot more interesting. The two main characters have their development, but some events happen without real reasoning. The acting was pretty good. The best acting came from the leads, Katie Cassidy and Tracy Spiridakos. These two seemed to have pretty good chemistry on screen but that alone could not save this movie. Katie Cassidy gave the best performance, especially the few emotional scenes she had. The synopsis is promising but the movie just doesn’t deliver. Definitely not worth the rent.

a twisted plot at the end of the movie by avenging yourself

Pretty good. With a few twists..

The trailer for this movie seemed very cool and interesting. Therefore I decided to watch it, and also because Katie Cassidy was in it. Kill For Me had a familiar plot about some roommates and secrets, but it had a cool twist to it. Even though it was predictable it became kind of unexpected at times, and more after the first kill. Everything was fine up till the end when everything became a mess and it had too many plot twists that ended up being unsurprising. Still it was a good thriller.

This was a great suspenseful film, which kept making me wonder where it was going to go next. A few twists and turns, and kept my interest and entertained. I’d recommend it for a good suspenseful thriller.

Decent movie. Similar story to some others, so not terribly original. The ending, however, did give it a nice twist…

A very creepy on the edge of your seat thriller. I was not expecting to like this as much as I did. Torrance Coombs did a great job! This film packs an ending you won’t see coming! X

Similar to Breaking The Girls, but that one was too convoluted and unbelievable, whereas this one could have used a couple more twists.

I gave this 2 stars mostly for Katie Cassidy being a phenomenal actress. She plays traumatized really well. The writing in this film is bad and at times nonsensical. The two leads seem to try to have chemistry and while it works (for the most part) with Katie Cassidy, Tracy Spiridakos just comes off as creepy and insane. The main plot of the movie has so many little plots thrown in that it stumbles its way to the ending of the film. Also, the ending is no great twist either. In the end when they reveal what happened to the first roommate, it doesn’t feel earned, it feels like they just threw it in there to give all the story lines a conclusion with no real thought put into how they should fit. I thought the main leads acted as best they could with the script they had, I just kept finding myself wishing that I was watching them act in a better film.

What starts as a sombre look at the affects of gender violence, quickly descents into formulaic set pieces and silly twists..

The movie itself was great, it even had a bit of “Love” in it! But Katie Cassidy and Tracy Spiridakos were AMAZING!! Their scenes together were very… real. Very sad ending though, but watch it, you’ll be glad you did.

    (2013) Kill For Me

Co-written and directed by Michael Greenspan with Amanda Rowe (Katie Cassidy) finally agreeing with former friend and young teenage landlord to rent out Amanda’s best friend’s ‘Natalie Ross’ bedroom since she’s nowhere to found therefore, declared missing. By the time the new roommate, by the name of Hayley Jones (Tracy Spiridakos) moves in, it isn’t too long that it becomes another Hitchcock’s “Strangers On A Train” scenario with tiny glimpses of “Single White Female” with a twist. The movie depends more on circumstances, so to reveal anymore would pretty much ruin it for the viewers. One of my main problems is that it leaves me with more questions than answers as some of the main characters situations are not fully developed.

    2 out of 4 stars

Director: Michael Greenspan Writers: Christopher Dodd (screenplay), Michael Greenspan (screenplay) Stars: Leah Gibson, Torrance Coombs, Shannon Chan-Kent, Katie Cassidy, Tracy Spiridakos, Donal Logue I’ve been sitting on Kill for Me for some time and now that I’ve seen it, I can’t believe I almost let this one slip past me. The story is very well written, building up a lot of tension and tying all aspects of the story together to one climatic ending. The pacing was sluggish at first, but after watching it a second time I could see how it works to establish the relationship between Hailey and Amanda. Just when you think you’ve got this film all figured out, it goes and flips the script on you with a neat little twist. It’s not a W.T.F. moment, but it serves its purpose well. Finally the acting truly compliment the film, with everyone bringing their A game to the table. Tracy Spiridakos… I enjoyed your performance in “The Boy She Met Online”, but I was completely blown away by your psycho/abused Hailey; she’s calculating and unremorseful, yet affectionate and caring. Kudos also goes out to Donal Logue, who played one crafty S.O.B. whom I enjoyed every moment your character was on-screen . Props goes out to Katie Cassidy, who flat out takes the award after that scene where she has to seduce Garret. So damn gorgeous it hurts! In the end, Kill for Me while I was considering not watching you after the first 15 minutes, I’m really glad I stuck with it and I was rewarded with a thriller that’s well written, well acted and full of suspense. 8/10

I do not know if I should compare this to a movie I have not seen, especially if that movie is better or worse than what I have just seen. This is a modernized, low budget, CW style version of Strangers on a Train.

Amanda, a young college-age woman has been having personal problems of late when she welcomes a new roommate at her school. Hayley, the new roommate, is an awkward peer who involves herself in Amanda’s personal life that then leads to an incident that has Amanda incurring a massive debt that leads her to plot a murder upon Hayley’s supposedly abusive father.

I got to say it was great watching Katie Cassidy in something other than a television show and Tracy Spiridakos is a lovely woman that does a great job in playing an emotionally disturbed woman with murderous intent. But the movie drags at a slow pace, with numerous plot holes and terrible moments. Was it really necessary to add a sex scene or for one of the characters to commit a kidnapping?

Some good and some bad but mostly bad stuff in this movie. No surprise this is straight to DVD.
